Koz Craft (Kozmiuk Wooden Boats) of Lakemoor, Illinois has commissioned Van Gorkom Yacht Design LLC to design a custom 30ft lakes boat, the K30. This stunning wooden 30 footer will be designed in the classic Riva style.
The design retains all the charm and craftsmanship of a bygone day, while incorporating carefully considered upgrades in both aesthetics and performance. This includes a chined hull with 21 degrees of deadrise and a stepped lifting surface for maximum controllability and performance.
The spacious cockpit is ergonomically designed for accommodating six adults comfortably, with two rotating pilots’ seats forward and a wrap-around salon lounge seat aft. This design also incorporates a retro rumble seat, which accommodates two more passengers, or can be used for stowage.
Situated between the main cockpit and the rumble seat is the engine compartment, housing a powerful 600 HP marine engine. This power plant is capable of pushing the K30 along a 50+ knots.
This runabout represents the perfect marriage of fine wood working, classic elegance and modern functionality. It’s guaranteed to command a lot of attention with its stylish lines, rich wood grains, and handsome silhouette.
