Design Criteria
The inspiration for Gryphon draws on the sleek yacht tenders and “commuter” yachts of the 1930’s. Modern materials and construction methods combine with this concept to create a limousine tender of unparalleled grace and utility.
The forward cockpit has seating for 4 guests, and jump-seats for 2 crew in addition to the helmsman. Inside the generous house is plush seating and amenities for 10 in air-conditioned (or heated) comfort. A large moon-roof is also available to “bring the outdoors in.” The after deck has an open cockpit with seating for two, with sun-loungers either side.
Gryphon is powered by a pair of 400hp Volvo-Penta D5 engines with IPS drives, or can be configured to the owner’s choice. Drawn here at 40 ft, Gryphon’s concept is easily scalable to other lengths and beams as desired for a custom limousine tender.
